Olean Oilers 2016 NYCBL Champions

Making it a remarkable end to an even better season than last year, the Oilers won the 2016 Western Conference Semi-Finals and the NYCBL Championship. Their journey started on July 27th, 2016 at home in Olean, NY at Bradner Stadium. The boys won the first game moving on to Hornell for the second game. Not wanting to miss it, I drove to their opponent’s field to film the game. I was once again impressed as they clinched the Western Conference title for the second time in a row. Watch as the Oilers win the NYCBL Western Conference.

The Oilers then advanced to the championship round, first playing in Syracuse. After a close, intense, and intriguing game the Oilers won the first out of two games. Luckily they were able to play for the title at home in Bradner Stadium. This game drew nearly 3,000 fans into the stadium all cheering for their hometown heroes. The Oilers once again proved they were a force to be reckoned with, winning 13 to 6. Watch as the Olean Oilers win the 2016 NYCBL Championship.

What I love most about filming for the Oilers, especially after a big win like this, is their never-ending love for their fans, their team, and the love of baseball. The boys are there not only to win, but to make friendships and memories. They are appreciative of their opportunities and fans, never taking anything for granted. This team is more than deserving of the NYCBL Championship for the second time in a row. I am looking forward to the 2017 season and hopefully another NYCBL Championship title. Until next year, Oilers!

As Always,
