For the past 8 years I have put my heart and soul into the videos I have created. Each video becomes a new passion project for me and I completely immerse myself in the creative process. My passion for film has only grown stronger each year. The birth of my videography business, Hannah Forrest Films, has not only given me the opportunity for creating more but has also challenged me and rewarded me in a way I never thought possible.
The first video I was recognized for was the video I made of my school trip to Spain and Italy. Within my small town I became known as the “video girl” and was soon asked to film for other people. My first big job was filming a commercial for a local bank that would debut in my local movie theater. While on that job, I talked with a girl about filming her wedding the following year. I told her I would be interested in filming for her, but thought it probably would not work out. A few months had passed and I received a message from her asking if I was still interested. Was I ever? Excited and nervous, the Summer of 2014 was when I filmed my first wedding video. I will never forget the day I finished editing that video and showed it to Nick and Jen. Their reaction, all the tears, laughs and smiles, warmed my heart and gave me the confidence to pursue my own videography business.
Fast forward to the next year, 2015, and I had booked 3 weddings. With each wedding I challenged myself and learned what it takes to produce a great video. I could have never imagined that the following year, 2016, I would film 6 wedding videos and have a successful videography business.
Throughout these past few years, I have come to find out that putting yourself and your work out there is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling things you can do. My passion in life has turned into a business that has touched many peoples lives and continues to inspire me everyday. With starting this blog, I hope to showcase not only the wedding videos I cherish, but the other passion projects I work on. Whether I am traveling to foreign countries or filming baseball games in my hometown, I hope I can show you what Hannah Forrest Films is all about.
