Oh how I love this couple! This day was so special for me to film as I have know the bride for many years. When I was little, Meg was my babysitter. I viewed her as an older sister and always loved when she came over. I have stayed in contact with Meg throughout the years. When I found out she was getting married, I offered to film her wedding and how lucky I was that she accepted.
On the day of the wedding, Meg and her bridesmaids got ready at her family home. Her bridesmaids included her a group of friends she has known for years as well as her sister and the groom, Chris’s sister. Her group of friends has countless memories together and has remained best friends despite distance and different career paths. Meg’s dress was one of the prettiest dresses I have seen. It was a beautiful champagne color with a lace top and silk bottom. Her flowers, shoes, and earrings added the perfect finishing touches.
The ceremony took place on one of the hottest days of the summer in the beautiful St. Mary of Angels in Olean, NY. This church is one of the oldest churches in the surrounding area and was recently refurbished to look like it originally did when it was built 150 years ago. The ceremony consisted of perfectly thought out songs and beautiful readings read by family members. After the ceremony, we hopped on the party bus to take us to a variety of locations for pictures. On this bus the music was blaring and dancing and singing commenced. This part of the video is my favorite part as I recorded the bridal party sing to one of their favorite songs “Stuck On Glue” as the song plays in the video.
The reception was at a local park, a very unique and original place to have a wedding. How perfect it was! Megan selected, made some by hand, and set up all of the gorgeous decorations for this country chic wedding. The large dinner hall, big in size, consisted of a trail mix bar, gorgeous hanging decorations, and mason jars full of flowers. All of the guests were there to celebrate this new beginning for the couple and to have a good time as the live band played and danced their way through the crowd. Not to mention, the guests enjoyed drinking local EBC beer with Meg and Chris’s picture on the bottle.
Megan and Chris are a perfect match for each other in every way. They have a great love for their family and friends, music, traveling and having a great time together. They make the best of every situation and never stop laughing. This is a couple who has a bond that will last a lifetime, throughout all of the ups and downs and great times that come with life’s journey.
